VIDEO RELEASES

S&M will be released on video as well as CD.  The VHS version should see the light of day on November 23rd, the same day as the CD.   The DVD, loaded with extra's (ala Cunning Stunts) will not be available until the year 2000, the DVD will feature a choice between audio... including listening to Metallica only or the symphony only!  And of course: 5.1 Dolby Digital sound!

Yes, that is an electric sitar Kirk plays during the intro of Wherever I May Roam.  James used one on the actual recording of the album.

Like Cunning Stunts and Garage Inc, S&M will be available in both Clean and Explicit versions.  These will be available mostly at stores like WalMart that limit their sale of "Parental Advisory" labeled items.   It is believed that Metallica allows this to be done, simply because Walmart sells a great deal of CD's to the public.. more than any other retailer.  To many Metallica fans, a Walmart may be their only resource to buy thge CD.

We hope most of you have seen the new S&M video clip for Hero of the Day. Next time you see it, pay special attention towards the end of the clip. You might notice a yellow Don't Tread On Me or Culpepper Minutemen flag waving in the air. The flag carried proudly and faithfully to every Metallica show he goes to, by none other than IS Chapterhead Dan Walpole!

Metallica will play two more shows with Michael Kamen and an orchestra.  The first of these will happen November 19th in Berlin, Germany.   The last S&M show will be November 23rd at New York's Madison Square Garden.
