Rob
joined Metallica after Jason Newsted's departure. After
auditioning several people - it was decided that Rob was the
only player that took the music to another level.

Just prior to joining Metallica, Rob was in Ozzy Osbourne's
band and had several other projects including Black Label
Society. Rob was also in Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious
