It was
Lars' ad in the Recycler that led to the formation of Metallica.
He received his first drumkit from his grandmother at age
15.
Lars followed
DiamondHead on tour in Europe before coming back to LA and
forming Metallica. He helped assemble a compilation of his
favorite New Wave of British Heavy Metal songs and
has recorded a drum track with Mercyful Fate for a remake
of their song Return of the Vampire. He also has
been known to occasionally tackle the singing duties for
'Am I Evil.'
Lars likes
to eat Taco Bell, cheese, mayonnaise and French food and
drinks Coors Light and Bombay Sapphire Gin Martinis.
Lars is
currently married to a Skylar, a doctor, they have a son
named Myles.
Other
Interests
Lars is an art collector. He also likes scuba diving, skiing,
going to the movies and Oasis, likes to run to help keep
in shape (note the word run, not jog). Lars follows the
San Jose Sharks, the 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
