Gamecenter reports: "Headfirst Productions, a Birmingham, U.K.-based game developer, has announced that it has signed an exclusive licensing deal with Chaosium, granting it full rights to H. P. Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu brand. Using this license, the company is currently working on a first-person-perspective horror adventure entitled Dark Corners of the Earth." The Metallica song, The Call of Ktulu is based on the same Lovecraft story. Read the whole article here. Thanks to Miroslav. S&M VIDEO WORLDWIDE RELEASE

What Nascar driver will be attending the M2K show?? Click here to find out!...CDworld.com says Ride the Lighnting 24K Gold CD coming out February 1, 2000 ...Metallica music can be heard in the locker-room scene in the new Al Pacino flick, Any Given Sunday, when a player puts 'Motorbreath' on the stereo and declares that "Hetfield is God"...
In the new documentary called American Movie, which is tells the story of a really messed up guy with a mullet trying to make a cheap horror movie, in a couple different scenes, the background music is a really crappy accoustic version of "Fight Fire With Fire" as played by a friend of the main guy. The guy is so timid sounding when he sings, and has a little drunken-Wisconsin accent in his words.
UPDATE: A little more about the Any Given Sunday clip: Andrew Bryniarski's Madman character plays the music and screams "Metallica Rules... bow down before the kings of rock.. Hetfield is god!" in response to another player calling it "nazi music;" the CD for Kill 'Em ALl is clearly visible on the CD player; a Metallica poster is shown briefly earlier in the movie; no vocals can be heard, music only; the song is creditted in the credits.
METCLUB CHANGES UPDATE
An update has been posted by The Metallica Club, clarifying that the new membership levels will indeed continue the "seniority" standings of the past. METCLUB CHANGES
The Metallica Club has updated their Membership levels. There are now three different membership levels:
The only drawback is that the old "seniority levels" seem to now be history. It's nice to have a "cheap" package for those who'd like to give SO WHAT a trial run... although we think the extra $15 is well worth it (heck, most t-shirts are at least $15, you're getting the shirt plus the other goodies!) MET-TV
Stay tuned for another broadcast tonight - go here! TOP SONGS IN DENVER

Triple MMM radio in Australia had a telephone interview with Jason last night, while the band was in the studio to record the new Mission Impossible song. He said that the song is still untitled, but that "it was very, very heavy and evil" and that he likes it a lot. When asked about what direction the new studio album, with a tenative release year of 2001, would head, he answered that it would continue with the same basic formula as always and that it will be similar to 'No Leaf Clover' and '- Human.' He also said that "we will continue to be
very heavy for the first few years of the millenium." After the release of studio album #8, he said that there would be a massive world tour and they would play everywhere that they possibly could...Doesn't sound like the small broken up touring schedule that Lars alluded to in previous interviews, but lets hope its true!
