Stories have the video shoot for "The Memory Remains" being in Ireland, it's implied that the reason it's in Ireland is to accomodate Marianne Faithfull. UPDATE: False... band members went to Ireland to RECORD Ms Faithfull's parts, not shoot the video.

Stories say Load cover artist Andres Serrano returns to ReLoad with another piece of artwork. Unknown what it looks like, or what the medium is this time. Stories say the the Misfits will be the opening act for upcoming Metallica shows.. possibly the summer leg of the US tour. (NOTE: COC is said to be opening the Australian tour). Stories say the initial plans for a US Summer '98 Tour have been sidelined for a summer European tour after The Pacific Rim Tour starting late March '98. UPDATE The band is said to be doing the Pacific Rim starting in late March, head to Europe and hit the sheds in the US in late summer!

Stories say that in typical Metallica style, the oft mentioned 7th album has been pushed back from the rumored 11-18-97 release date. Studio work is said to have completely moved from Bob Rock's Hawaiian home studio back to the Bay area. Jason and James are supposed to working hot and heavy, and recording might be lasting til October... with a close to Christmas release. UPDATE: James' recent post on the Metallica Club Forum Club Area, seems to confirm this somewhat. UPDATE: The chat with the guitar players on MSN/UK on 8-24-97 seems to reveal a November release (as opposed to Christmas).. Stories out of a Chicago radio station reports Metallica will have a home video out from last tour at Christmas time. Could this be the highly touted Metallica Movie? UPDATE:Several members have noted that Chicago radio is very unreliable.
Stories from WRIF radio in Detroit, MI is strongly hinting that Metallica will play the Miller Blind Date show on July 18th... the Blind Date thing is a contest, were winner's get to see a big band play a small club.. the next show is scheduled for July 18 in San Francisco. Metallica playing is unlikely as they are finishing album #7 possibly recording some at Bob Rock's Hawaiian Home/Studio; and Metallica's relationship with Molson might also preclude that. UPDATE:The band ended up being Foo Fighters. Don't believe everything you hear on the radio!!

Stories report a movie of the whole Metallica experience including behind the scenes footage on tour and in the studio are being prepared for (at least) and American cinema release. Stories are being reported everywhere that the next Metallica cover song to be released on a b-side will be The Knack's My Sharona. The band has jammed this song a few times at various shows. UPDATE:Apparently false, even though Kerrang (the National Enquirer of Metal mags) reported it. Jason has been said to have denied this.
Stories say a song called "Won't Matter Anyway" is the ONLY unreleased Metallica song (besides #7 tunes). The song is alleged to be recorded after the AJFA, but before TBA. Some guy was supposed to have threatened a lawsuit preventing the release of this song. UPDATE: be wary.. I've had some people say it's definitely not Metallica, and another say it is.
Stories still circulate about the still untitled Album Seven.. the latest of which has James saying that it will be called METALLICA VII. (But with Antharx's new one to be called Volume 8, and due to be released in the same time frame.. ya got to wonder)

Stories say that the next Metallica album will be called "Waiting in the Wings," and then detail an elaborate tracklist including known songs like 'Devil Dance' and a play on the title for 'Fuel.' It should be noted that these tunes were added to this tracklist when the song names became known. This whole thing is FALSE. Most of which can be tracked to before Load came out.. because it was the rumor for what became Load. Lars has been on the radio, and has been reported as saying that album #7 will be called "Load pt 2." This too is probably inaccurate, as Lars was probably referring to the content of the album.. not its actual title.
An old rumor has recently resurfaced... James Hetfield's throat is not infected with cancer. This is particularly nasty story, and should be disregarded. MUSTAINE? Stories tell of mending of the ways between Dave and James. Stories go on to say that even some type of collaboration between the two might happen in the future.... though it was said that it would not be an album. UPDATE:A Detroit radio station commented on alot of Dave's comments lately sounding like "Dave is almost begging to get back in Metallica." LARS' SINGLE/ENGAGED? Stories say that the hottest rumor of the minute is the marital status of Lars. Rumors are flying that he broke up with his the mystery girl known as Skylar, there are also stories flying of an impending marriage and an engagement. (I hear wedding bellz!)
